Congratulations to Tom Lowry, who is our newest senior chartered accountant after passing his ACA qualifications recently.

Tom, who joined Lithgow Perkins as a school leaver in 2013, has worked in various departments while also studying for different levels of the ACA exams on his way to becoming a fully-qualified ICAEW chartered accountant.

Tom, 28, started his journey with us as a bookkeeping and payroll clerk before becoming an accounts clerk. He then moved on to supporting our senior accountants with client work such as accounts preparation and audits.

He now looks after aspects of personal tax and tax planning for a range of clients, including limited companies, sole traders, partnerships and charities.

Tom said: “I’m so proud to have gained my chartered accountant status, and I’m looking forward to what the future holds for my career. Everyone at Lithgow Perkins has been so supportive throughout my progression in accountancy, and I am very grateful to the company for helping me gain the skills and knowledge I need for a job that I love. I’m looking forward to completing my Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification in the next year.”

Partner Joe Taylor, who joined Lithgow Perkins himself as a graduate, said: “Tom thoroughly deserved to pass his exams and become a chartered accountant. He has worked extremely hard since he joined us, both in the office and with his studies.

“Tom is a great example of why it’s important for long-standing firms like Lithgow Perkins to nurture their younger staff members and invest in their career development. He has become an integral and respected member of our team, with a growing skillset and expertise that allows us to continue offering the very best service to our clients.”

Tom and the rest of the team at Lithgow Perkins offer a wide variety of business and personal accounting services.
